I Always Love A Challenge

by Shane on September 10, 2010

Niche Duel Site ChallengeRecently I became aware of a challenge going on between Pat Flynn where he is doing a Niche Site Duel with Tyrone Shum. I read through all the posts to date and decided it was time for me to get involved in the challenge. This is a great way to keep on track with your business aswell as providing valuable information to others.

In this challenge both Pat and Tyrone are set the challenge of creating a niche website from the ground up. With that they are revealing the entire process from start to finish which also means exactly what they earn along the way.

There is one rule:  They can not generate traffic through any paid methods.

Ok I guess I should add something about me. My name is Shane and I am from Ireland. I have had quite a bit of success online and specialise in seo. I am just an average guy that saw an opportunity from the internet and learned everything I could. Like most people I suffered from information overload in the beginning. I now look back and realise that it is a necessary stage you need to go through in order to succeed online. It wasn’t until I began to take action that I started to make money online. Nowadays it isn’t rare to see some $500 plus days.

As of today I am getting involved in this challenge and will lay out my process, my niche, my earnings and answer any questions along the way.

I have quite a good experience in building niche sites so as a result I hope to document everything in an easy to understand manner. Remember the methods that I use can be applied to any business you want to start online. In my next post I will highlight my aims, the niche and of course how I landed upon the niche. If there is anything anyone wants me to cover at any stage leave a comment and I will create a post around that area.

I will keep updating this with the posts to date.

The Challenge Returns

by Shane on January 6, 2011

Firstly, I know it has been a while. I really hope you and your families enjoyed the holidays.

As you know, the challenge took off to a great start and within the first month I was first page for nearly all my keywords. Unfortunately, I have a lot of websites so I neglected this site when it began dancing around in the SERPS. I knew it would eventually come back and randomly today I checked it and the results are great.

xbox 360 repairTo date this site has made me 22 sales in clickbank with one of those being refunded. I presume the site is only back in the last few days.

SERP RESULTS ———————————————>

As you can see I am on the 1st page for every one of the keywords I am targeting and more.  The last time I created a backlink for this site was october. I will let the site settle for about a week and then initiate the backlinking campaign.

When I began the initial backlinking campaign I was very agressive, I guess thats how I got results so quickly. For most people they won’t be able to see results that quickly, but thats fine! Your better off building links slowly.

When I began this challenge I was going to buy an aged domain with pr3 and do what is called a 301 redirect to this domain. What this does is pass page rank to this domain and help establish its authority. I didn’t do that but I have done so with many of my other sites.

This was just a quick update to let you know I will be focussing on this site in the next few weeks. Also I have recently paid for someone to create 30 adsense sites  for me, fill the sites with content and then rank them in the search engines. Outsourcing is one of the most powerful ways to project your earnings and Adsense is easy money! I’ll keep you posted about this also. By the way one lucky subscriber is going to get their hands on one of the 30 sites. Thats right I am going to  hand over a site thats  profitable to one lucky subscriber.

In the meantime I want to hear from you…

What are you struggling with to get to a stage where you can make just one sale a day? What areas do you need help in?

It All Start Here

September 13, 2010

In this post I will be revealing my niche and of course my goals for the niche.
